Mitsui Expands PP Spunbond Capacity

New line will add 15,000 tons/year.

Mitsui Chemicals is expanding its PP spunbond nonwovens in Japan. The company currently has the production capacity of 49,000 tons/year on six lines, and 15,000 tons/year will be added when the new line is introduced in late 2017.
 
Additionally, the production capacity of its micro-porous film, being produced at MHM, its subsidiary in Thailand, is going to be raised to 10,000 tons/year from 6,000 tons/year by the end of 2016.
